On April 18th, the Communication and Promotion Forum of the Polish Scouting and Guiding Association was held in Łódź – a nationwide conference for people responsible for communication and promotion of scouting in Poland. EDC Expert was a partner of this event.

The conference brought together practitioners who are responsible for building image, engaging the community and developing communication activities on a daily basis. The program included 13 lectures and 2 discussion panels, focusing on current challenges and trends – from storytelling, through brand building, to new communication tools. About 100 participants attended the forum.

Our actions: communication through experience

As a partner, we focus on solutions that engage and stay with participants for longer.

We have prepared:

  • Paper ID cards with seeds – combining a functional purpose with an ecological message,
  • Inspiration Wall – a space for sharing ideas and experiences,
  • a XXL cheese game – simple, but effectively engaging and involving participants,
  • a fundraising board – as an example of a tool that supports work on ideas and engaging donors.

The event program also included a highlight from EDC Expert. Marcin Góral presented how to use non-standard fundraising approaches in practice and how to combine direct marketing with creative solutions that realistically increase audience engagement. Communication that works

The forum clearly showed that effective communication is not only about the tools, but also about the ability to adapt them to the audience and the purpose. The greatest value of the event was networking, sharing experiences and specific examples of actions that can be implemented in practice.
